ONEIDA — The Zonta Club of Oneida celebrated Zonta Rose Day in conjunction with International Women’s Day by presenting the Status of Women Achievement Award.

This award recognizes a woman whose endeavors best express the ideals of Zonta International to advance the status of women through service and advocacy.

Members of the Oneida Area Zonta Club presented the 2020/2021 Status of Women Achievement Award to Carlene Holt.

Holt spent the last eight years of her career providing services and support to survivors and their families affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and other violent crimes.

Zonta officials said they recognize and applaud Holt’s many contributions to improve the quality of life and status of women and young girls at the local and state levels.
