YMCA of Greater Tri Valley announces upcoming Zumba classes
ROME — The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley offers classes at both the Oneida and Rome branches, including Zumba fitness classes starting this month.
Zumba Toning takes the Latin-inspired interval dance moves that Zumba is known for and adds a little resistance to put extra emphasis on toning and defining muscles.
“By adding light weights, we can focus on specific muscle groups, including arms, core and lower body,” explained certified instructor Madison Robinson, Oneida YMCA Group Fitness coordinator. “Wherever you are in your fitness journey, this class will jump-start your workout, motivating you and boosting energy.”
Zumba and Zumba Toning classes with Aaron are currently offered in Rome on Monday and Wednesday evenings, 5:30-6:15 p.m.
Zumba Toning with Madison begins in Oneida today at 6:20 p.m.
The Oneida Y’s Early Morning Zumba begins Sept. 6, from 7-8 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
“A total-body workout for all levels, Zumba Toning combines cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility,” said certified instructor Aaron Calandra, Rome YMCA Wellness Team Leader.
All group exercise classes are included with a YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley membership. The Y offers more than 15 different group exercise classes including yoga, Pilates, indoor cycling, strength and Silver Sneakers, just to name a few.
For more information about classes and the benefits of a YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley membership, call the Rome branch at 315-336-3500 or the Oneida Y at 315-363-7788.
Information about individual and family memberships is also available on the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley website, ymcatrivalley.org.
