NEW HARTFORD — The Yahnundasis Golf Club has been recognized as one of the top 40 golf courses in New York State by Golf Magazine, and one of only five courses outside of the greater New York City metropolitan region to receive this distinction.

The ranking was based on course design and architecture and determined by 115 golf experts and enthusiasts from 15 countries around the globe.

This recognition comes amidst a multi-year campaign by the Yahnundasis to restore some of the course’s features back to their original design, as conceived by famous golf course architect Walter Travis in the early 1900s.

The Yahnundasis will host the 2023 New York State Senior Men’s Championship in September, in addition to local charity and golf club events.
