Writing coach offers zoom programs this weekend

OLD FORGE — View, the center for arts and culture, will host programs with international writing and publishing coach David Hazard this weekend:

• Join Hazard and other authors for session three of the bi-monthly Zoom Winter Writing Series on Saturday, Feb. 13, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Getting focused, staying focused, and keeping your writing momentum — these can be big challenges to manage on our own.

This series of online get-togethers will help participants write their own way through the cold winter months.

Participants will get training and guidance on such things as understanding your audience, storyboarding and outlining, scene building, and character development.

They will have a chance to share brief readings and receive group feedback if requested.

Along the way, the camaraderie of other writers will help keep the creative fires burning.

The price for this online workshop is $30, $20 for View members. To register, visit ViewArts.org/workshops/writing.

• Private writing consultations via Zoom with Hazard will be offered on Sunday, Feb. 14. These one-on-one consultations will be broken into one-hour blocks from noon to 4 p.m.

Bring your questions, story ideas and/or any writing issues and let Hazard guide you.

Cost is $30, $20 for View members.

Pre-registration is required and can be done online at ViewArts.org/workshops/writing.

Hazard is an international writing coach who has launched bestselling, award-winning, and acclaimed authors for 40 years. He is also the founder of View’s Art*iculation Writing Program.
