World Series of Poker deals in Turning Stone

Turning Stone Resort Casino will serve as New York’s first satellite host for the World Series of Poker, according to an announcement by resort officials on Wednesday.

Turning Stone poker players will have opportunities to earn a seat for the nationally-televised WSOP “Tournament of Champions” in Las Vegas in 2022. 

“We are thrilled to serve as New York’s first ever satellite host for the World Series of Poker, and provide this incredible opportunity to our guests,” said Oneida Nation Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter. “We are proud of the fact that we are considered New York’s best poker destination, and being a satellite host for the WSOP promises to only build onto that reputation.”

The first round of the WSOP events at Turning Stone are 27 satellite tournament events. Satellite events will be held every Sunday through Wednesday until Wednesday, Dec. 15. Satellite events at Turning Stone will resume in January.

Poker players then move on to the WSOP Local Main Events at Turning Stone, which will be held on Sunday, Jan. 2; Sunday, March 6; and Sunday, May 1. Winners of the Local Main Event will receive a $10,000 seat to the WSOP “Tournament of Champions” in Las Vegas in 2022, as well as $3,000 in travel money.

Turning Stone will host an official WSOP Circuit Event March 17 – 28, 2022, with local poker players winning direct entry into the WSOP “Tournament of Champions” in Las Vegas in 2022.
