Woman injured in accident

ORISKANY FALLS — A Utica woman suffered minor injuries as a passenger in a two-vehicle crash on Madison Street Thursday.

Deputy Brian Warcup said Audrey Love, 62, of Utica, was backing out of a driveway in her 2010 Mazda when a 2012 Toyota, operated by Brian Dapson, 49, of Oriskany Falls, was simultaneously backing out of a driveway directly across from Love, and the vehicles collided in the roadway.

As a result of the collision, Jay Lanaux, 61, of Utica, a rear seat passenger in Love’s vehicle, complained of neck pain and was transported to the hospital by Central Oneida County Ambulance for evaluation.

Another passenger in Love’s vehicle, Charlene Love, was uninjured and neither of the drivers were injured, Warcup said.

Oriskany Falls Fire Department assisted.
