Woman faces charge of driving while intoxicated with children in vehicle


UTICA — A Utica woman is accused
of driving drunk very early Wednesday morning with two children in her SUV, according to a report by local law enforcement officials.

Oneida County sheriff’s deputies said Taicoya S. Wynder, 34, was pulled over for a vehicle and traffic violation on Whitesboro Street in Utica at about 1 a.m. Wednesday. Once stopped, deputies
said it was determined that
Wynder was driving drunk and had two children in her Jeep Cherokee.

According to the authorities, Wynder is charged with one count each of driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater, driving drunk with children in the vehicle, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and several vehicle and traffic violations.

She is scheduled to appear in City Court to face the charges, according to the report by the local law enforcers.
