ROME — A Rome woman has been charged with theft for the third time this year after allegedly stealing medical supplies from Rome Health, according to the Rome Police Department.

Police said Heather M. Fish, 30, of Rome, was a patient at Rome Health on April 19 when she was found stuffing medical supplies into a bag at about 10:48 a.m. Police said Fish was caught by a nurse.

The case was turned over to Rome City Court and a summons was issued for Fish. She answered the summons on Wednesday.

Fish is charged with one count of petty larceny, police stated. She is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.

Previously, Fish was charged on March 3 with stealing a family member's credit card, and was charged on April 20 with shoplifting groceries from the Byrne Dairy on Erie Boulevard, according to law enforcement officials.
