Bill enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting; and was an amazing chef.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Ralph William and Miriam Estelle Reynolds Quackenbush, and nephew Ray Earl Smith II. Bill leaves to cherish his memory his fiance Carla Sacco and her daughter Nicole Sacco; his loving sisters Miriam “Ellen” Smith (Ray) of Hubert, NC and Mary Louise Friend (Louis) of North Bay, NY; nieces and nephews, Dana Colleen Lonis (Kelly) of Syracuse, NY, Craig Kenneth Smith (Melissa) of Hubert, NC, Daniel Robert Alberico II (Michele) of Cleveland, NY, Dennis Michael Alberico (Laurie) of Camden, NY, David Richard Alberico (Christie) of Verona, NY, Valerie Ann Hoover (Michael) of Hubert, NC; as well as many great-nieces and nephews.

Bill loved his family and his country. He served his community in many ways over the years by volunteering as a softball coach; working the Military Courtesy Room at Hancock International Airport in Syracuse, NY; and participating in many other Veteran Advocacy programs. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Veteran’s Advocacy Program in Bill’s memory. A private service will be held at a later date.
