William A. Younglove, 65, of Rome, died Friday, June 7, 2019 at his home. He was born April 20, 1954 in Syracuse, NY the son of Arnold E. and Ann L. Darrow Younglove. William attended Rome Schools and graduated from New Hampton Prep School, New Hampshire in 1973. He served in the Air Force from 1974 to 1977. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from SUNYIT. William worked as a Certified Government Financial Manager for the Department of Education, Albany. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Roman Hathaway Lodge #223.
He is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Kenneth DeVincenzo, Rome, and Deborah and Austin Smith, Rome; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Christine Younglove, Fort Mills, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Prince-Boyd & Hyatt Home for Funerals, Inc., 210 W. Court St., Rome. Interment will be in Rome Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Home for Funerals Wednesday from 12 to 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
