What we really need is more ‘common sense’ choices

In recent news articles, a lot of emphasis has been on revitalization projects. It’s great that such things are beginning to take shape; however, one of the most needed areas would be another dialysis center, as many patients travel to Oneida for treatment.

Although most people would think it’s not far, consider the winter months we endure and the hardship for senior citizens enduring this medical condition.

Along with “needs” it would be amazing to have retail businesses that give residents a choice other than JCPenney and Marshall’s. Instead of supporting New Hartford we could keep our sales tax here. Most taxpayers don’t mind paying the sales tax of 8.75%, higher than other areas, but they want choices. There’s nothing better than “common sense” and at this point we need more of it.
