What about travel times if two BOCES merge?

Merging the two local Oneida-Herkimer-Madison (New Hartford) and Madison-Oneida (Verona) BOCES organizations must consider one large issue — bus transportation time from the furthest component district of one of the BOCES to the other BOCES campus and return trip bus time.

BOCES students could be on buses for about 30 to 45 minutes from their home district school to the other BOCES campus rather than to their current closer BOCES campus then the same travel time back to their home district school.

Combined to/from BOCES school student travel time would be 60 to 90 minutes per school day. These estimates are for good weather travel; less than good weather would add to travel time.  Is this really a practical and efficient enhancement?
