WESTMORELAND — A 20-year-old man was ticketed and hospitalized after his pickup truck crashed into a utility pole on Route 233 very early this morning.
Sheriff’s deputies said Raymond Barron, of Westmoreland, was northbound at about 2:30 a.m. today when he failed to keep right and his 2008 GMC Sierra crossed into the oncoming lane. Deputies said Barron’s truck went off the west shoulder and hit a utility pole.
Barron was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica for minor injuries. He was also issued several vehicle and traffic violations in regards to the crash, deputies stated.
He is scheduled to appear in Town Court.
