Western Town Library to hold takeout dinner fundraiser

Posted

WESTERNVILLE — A chicken riggies takeout fundraiser will take place, starting at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday May 19, at the Western Town Library, 9172 Main St.

The event will continue until 6:30 p.m. or until meals are gone, according to an announcement by the library’s board of trustees. The menu includes chicken riggies from Teddy’s Restaurant in Rome; tossed salad with Italian dressing; two slices of Italian bread with butter from Ferlo’s Bakery of Rome; and a halfmoon cookie from Hemstrought’s Bakery in Utica. The cost is $14 per meal.

The event will have a curbside pickup to ensure social distancing and reservations are required. Call the library at 315-827-4118 to leave a message to order meals. Callers will get a call back to confirm the order and be given a time slot for pickup.

A cashier will be at the entrance to the library parking lot and the line will form on Main St. to the south of that. This will keep the line to the right hand side of the road only and we hope to deliver your orders to cars quickly to keep things moving along, event organizers added.
