Wells submits signatures for Republican line in 22nd District
Recently, congressional candidate Steve Wells reported his team delivered nearly 200% of the required signatures to the state Board of Elections to qualify on the Republican line in the newly drawn 22nd District.
This announcement came less than one month after Wells announced his run for the district seat, which includes Onondaga County, Oneida County, Madison County, and small parts of Oswego County.
To qualify for the Republican line in New York State, candidates for Congress must collect 1,062 signatures from registered Republicans in the district. With the help of supporters, Wells said he collected over 2,000 Republican signatures. Wells, a Madison County resident, is the founding partner of Syracuse-based American Food and Vending Corporation, and former prosecutor.
