SHERRILL — The following is a list of events happening at the Sherrill-Kenwood Library to help pass the winter season:

Women’s Wellness Workshops

Join Gretchen Slater, health coach at Graceful Gains Wellness Studio in Verona, for a series of one hour women’s wellness workshops. Held on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. from Jan. 11 to Jan. 25, these workshops will provide women with the practical information, skills, and tools they need to help them experience better health. Individual workshops will focus on stress and wellness, nutrition and wellness, and sleep and movement and wellness.

Author visit with VVS grad Matt Pelicano

Join author and CNY native, Matt Pelicano, for a sampling and discussion of his latest novel, “The Woolems of Averlune,” on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 6 p.m. An allegorical journey through the five stages of grief, The Woolems of Averlune takes place in the wake of life shattering loss and focuses on 14- year-old Annelyse Bellamy and her father, Edward, as they navigate the internal and external landscape of suffering.

SKFL Book Club

The Sherrill-Kenwood Free Library Book Club will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 4 p.m. in the community room to discuss “The Lincoln Highway” by Amor Towles. Copies are available for pickup at our library.

Community Wall

The Community Wall is featuring Oneida Limited vintage advertisements to coincide with the Oneida Limited Oral History Day at the Library on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. Tom Guiler and Dave Hill will present an interactive program about the ongoing oral history project, “An Oneida Community Legacy: Oneida Limited.” This project aims to interview former employees of Oneida Limited who worked everywhere from the factory floor to the boardroom. This event is free and open to the public.

Story Time

Story Time meets every Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. Come join us for a story and a craft. All ages are welcome.

Library closures

The Sherrill-Kenwood Free Library will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr Day. The library will also be closed on Monday, Feb. 20, in observance of President’s Day.
