The Oneida branch of the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley, 701 Seneca St., will host a special seminar, “12 Ways to Build Self-Esteem,” at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 8.

The Wellness Speaker Series, sponsored by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, is free. How you value and perceive yourself impacts your self-esteem. Low self-esteem can affect many aspects of your life including your health, jobs and relationships.

Speaker Amy Debrucque is host of the Life of Purpose podcast and helps women build self-esteem and confidence.

The presentation will offer simple solutions to help you break the cycle of self-doubt and start living with confidence.

“I love coaching women to help them exercise confidence in all areas of their life,” Debrucque said.

Debrucque released her first book in 2021, “Embolden,” reminding women that although fear is normal, courage gets the final say. She said her faith in God is what gives her the courage to be intentional in all areas of her life.

Her website, amydebrucque.com, offers free resources and a weekly newsletter filled with wisdom and helpful tools.

Registration is not required for the seminar. Food and beverages will be provided.

Additional seminars in the series will include:

  • Cancer Survivorship: Moving Forward – Tuesday, March 21, 6:30 p.m.;
  • Precision Medicine: Using Pharmacogenomics and Nutrigenomics to Guide Your Health – Thursday, April 6, 12:30 p.m.;
  • Getting Prepared for a Healthy Lifestyle – Tuesday, April 18, 12:30 p.m.; and
  • Healthy Bones for Life: All About Osteoporosis – Wednesday, May 3, 12:30 p.m.
