‘Welcome to the Light,’ ‘With Hope’ services slated

Unitarian Universalist Church of Utica, 10 Higby Road, will host “Welcome to the Light” at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 23. This is an exploration of the Winter Solstice and slow return of the light.

The Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, “With Hope,” will take place at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24.

Speaker will be the Rev. Erin Djka Holley. All faiths are invited to attend the service, which will include the singing of Christmas carols.

“Join us to meet the mystery of the season with hope and light,” church officials said. “We will sing carols, tell the old story, and light candles to welcome a sense of hope.”
