We need Brown on county legislature

Posted

Like many of you, who represented me in the county legislature has long been largely a mystery.
That changed when Michael Brown began representing District 12.

He has made himself available and visible to his constituents. Active in Rome and its revitalization, he is a co-founder of the Copperccino’s coffee shop, a linchpin to Rome’s downtown growing arts community. Since he joined the legislature, he has fought for fair wages for our county workers; helped plan a comprehensive countywide transportation network; supported the regional hospital and health care facility in Utica; and supported the expansion of apprenticeship and internship programs at our local colleges and BOCES.

Beyond that, he has been a tireless advocate for everyone in his community.

I am proud to have Michael represent me, see his enthusiasm for his community, and count him as a personal friend and ally.

Mike Brown is the sort of representative Rome’s District 12 needs in the legislature.

— Stephen P. Hampe, Rome
