The Rome Police Department’s latest Warrant of the Week turned himself in to law enforcers on Monday.
Lt. James P. Boyer said tips from the public and coverage from local media helped convince Michael G. Hall, 56, of Rome, to turn himself in on his warrant. Authorities said Hall was wanted on a warrant out of City Court on a charge of failure to notify a change of address.
Hall is a registered level 2 sex offender and is required by state law to notify local law enforcement officials anytime he moves to a new home. Hall was convicted in 1993 of first-degree sodomy against a 10-year-old girl in Rome, according to state records.
Hall is scheduled to appear in City Court.
