Bailey Janowski scored 20 points to lead Vernon-Verona-Sherrill to a 57-43 Tri-Valley League Pioneer Division win over Camden on Friday night on the road.
The Red Devils jumped out to a 17-6 first quarter lead, growing the lead to 16 at the half then holding off a late charge by the Blue Devils for the win.
Phoenix Weydig and Bryce Palmer each added 11 for VVS. Sam Donnelly led the team with seven rebounds.
Jacob Horodnick dished out a team-high six assists.
Richie Paul lead Camden with 19 points.
VVS is 7-11 overall and second in the division with a 4-6 record.
Camden, 2-17 overall, is last in the division with an 0-11 mark.
Oriskany takes a loss
Oriskany lost to West Canada Valley 66-62 despite a double-double from Aaron Warcup, who had 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Steve Armstrong added 13 points, four assists and three steals.
Matt Enos scored 12 on four three-point baskets and Brandon Reid also had 12 points. Colton Davis handed out six assists.
West Canada remains undefeated in the Center State Conference Division II at 10-0.
Oriskany falls to 6-3 in the conference, which is second place.
