Volunteers sought to help unload food delivery at Gansevoort Elementary School
The Connected Community Schools program is seeking volunteers to assist in unloading a 1,000-pound food delivery this morning at Gansevoort Elementary School, and in packaging the food for distribution to families.
Interested volunteers can contact 315-982-2520 by text or phone call, or 315-533-5723, according to a program announcement.
The delivery was expected around 10 a.m. today, said the announcement. The unloading to be followed by the packaging will be for a food pantry distribution conducted by Connected Community Schools.
The food delivery is from Pastor Mark Schilling of Redeemer Church, the announcement said.
