Volunteers honored at CCCC


Copper City Community Connection, 305 E. Locust St., hosted a Volunteer Brunch April 11.

The brunch was attended by almost 60 volunteers and supporters of the center and was catered by The Savoy Restaurant.

Each CCCC volunteer received a tote bag with the center’s logo, along with a certificate from Sen. Joseph A. Griffo, R-47, Rome.

Top volunteers at the center also received a gift card from Applebee’s restaurant, and the top volunteer received a $50 gift to show appreciation. Several board members also attended the brunch including Michael Romano, director of the county Office for the Aging and Continuing Care; and Mayor Jacqueline M. Izzo.

The event was sponsored Colonial Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, United Healthcare and the Toccolana Club.
