The Dolgeville girls volleyball team, the six seed in the Class C playoffs, beat Weedsport in three sets Wednesday to advance to the quarterfinals.

Dolgeville won sets 25-21, 25-20 and 25-23.

Reece Lamphere had 10 kills, 18 digs, 10 aces and four assists.

Weedsport’s Makayla Foltz had 10 kills and eight digs.

The Blue Devils will play at Tully, the three seed, at 6 tonight.

Frankfort-Schuyler ousted

The Frankfort-Schuyler girls volleyball team, the Class C 14 seed, lost to three seed Tully in three sets Wednesday in the opening round of the postseason.

Tully won sets 25-10, 25-10 and 25-11.

Frankfort’s Carolyn Roser had two kills and Destany Martinez had five digs.

Tully’s Keagan Usherwood had 10 kills, eight digs and three aces.

Tully hosts six seed Dolgeville at 6 tonight in the quarterfinals.

Marauders advance in volleyball postseason

The ninth-seeded New York Mills girls volleyball team knocked out eight seed Owen D. Young in the opening round of the Class D playoffs Wednesday in three sets.

The set wins were 25-18, 25-15 and 25-18.

Jasmene Duymaz had 11 kills and four blocks for New York Mills.

Statistics for Owen D. Young were not submitted.

The Marauders played at top-seeded Town of Webb Thursday in the quarterfinals. Results were not available at press time.
