My name is Vladimir. I am a 3-year-old shepard hound mix who was surrendered by my owner. I currently live in a home with my foster mom — and she absolutely loves me as I protect her from everything!
I am a great boy, she says. The only reason she can not keep me is because I don’t get along with her cats. I am potty-trained, crate-trained (I actually enjoy being safe and secure in my crate) and want someone with me 24/7.
I would make a good service/support dog to someone who is home all the time. Since I don’t like cats that means that I like anything that runs outside so I would need someone to be able to walk me often, as well. I am a very lovable boy that loves all treats, especially rawhides!
I love car rides, sleeping on beds, cuddles and I understand the word, “no” when it’s given. Please call the shelter so a time can be scheduled to meet me. I don’t do very good in the kennels so my foster mom has to bring me if you are interested!
Thank you! Sincerely, Vladimir
Thank you for writing, and thank goodness for loving foster families such as yours. Readers, if you are interested in being a foster parent to a needy shelter animal while they are waiting to be adopted, please get in touch with us.
Good luck Vladimir!

Purina points weight circles
Help the Humane Society of Rome earn points when you purchase Purina brand products, and collect weight circles.
Simply cut and save the circles from participating Purina brand dog foods you have purchased and bring to the shelter.
We save the weight circles and submit in bulk. Purina will send the Humane Society a check good towards future purchase of dog food. This saves the shelter the large amount on food.
The Humane Society has the perfect gifts for those you love who may be hard to buy for — a wide variety of colorful T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and other items that are simply purrfect for animal lovers.
And, when you buy from the Humane Society, you also help our cats and dogs.
