Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-22, New Hartford, is hosting a virtual seminar with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as well as the New York Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (NYDHSES) for local elected officials that will highlight how these state and federal agencies can assist municipalities mitigate and respond to flooding disasters, according to an announcement by the congresswoman’s office.
The seminar for the local officials will be held via Zoom at 9:30 a.m. on
Wednesday, Oct. 27.
Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with FEMA and NYDHSES representatives and ask questions about issues they face in their communities, Tenney said.
Interested participants are encouraged to submit questions early in order for the presentation to be tailored to specific areas of interest, Tenney said. Individuals should call her Washington office at 202-225-3665 with any questions, the announcement said.
