OLD FORGE — View, the center for arts and culture, will make its exhibits available for online viewing.
The first exhibit to be featured online is Captured in Acrylics: Paintings by Tim Ames.
“As a landscape painter, I am drawn to the beauty that surrounds us and have specialized in showcasing the picturesque allure of upstate New York, in addition to the vibrant attraction that is Cape Cod,” said Ames. The exhibit will run through May 9.
Another exhibit to be shown online is Inside Woodland Textures and Layers featuring works from Katrina Bello, Scott Chimileski, Catherine Hartung, Ryan Horvath, Alexis Savopoulos, and Lee Ann Sporn. The exhibit is a multi-sensory experience suggested by the varied textures and seeks to focus on the worlds hidden from view within the trees, plants, animals and birds inhabiting a woodland environment. It will run through May 16.
The third exhibit available to view online is Recycling Nature: Revitalizing The Handmade Tradition by Rachel Singel.
“My imagery comes from what I see in nature,” said Singel. “From a hollow in a tree to a break in the clouds, absence is a recurring motif.”
The solo exhibit will run through May 2.
Each exhibit features a digital guide with information on each work along with a slideshow/digital tour of the physical exhibit. These exhibits can be found online at www.viewarts.org/exhibitions. For more information go online to ViewArts.org or call 315-369-6411.
