View offers online winter landscapes drawing class

OLD FORGE — View, the center for arts and culture, will be hosting a 10-week online class on drawing winter landscapes, taught by Bonnie Haney. Participants will meet each Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. starting Jan. 10 until March 21.

The cost of the 10-week class is $140, $120 for View members. Pre-registration is required, as space is limited. Register online by Jan. 5 at ViewArts.org/workshops.

In 1997, instructor Bonnie Haney was able to start studying and taking art lessons from a local artist and well-known teacher in the area, and so began her love affair with the art world.

Since then, she has been fortunate to be able to take workshops, classes and attend lectures from many local, national, and international artists. Now, she joins those artists in leading workshops, teaching classes, and giving lectures both locally and nationally.

Haney is currently President of The Rochester Area Colored Pencil Club, a Member of the Colored Pencil Society of America, and is currently serving as part of the American Society of Botanical Artists.

In addition to showing in local galleries, Haney has participated in many local shows and has consistently won awards — such as Best of Show, Judges Awards, and Merit Awards — for her colored pencil work.

View is located at 3273 State Route 28. To learn more about View’s programming, visit ViewArts.org.
