OLD FORGE — View Arts Center, 3273 Route 28, will host its ceramic class, Hand Built Adirondack Themed Dishes with Wendy Seifried, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 11.

Cost to participate in the class is $30, $25 for View members. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Registration deadline is May 7.

In the one-day class, instructor Seifried will teach participants basic hand building skills to make two dishes and a teabag holder. Creating these will not only teach students what they need in order to begin their ceramic interests, but they will also be able to take away their own ceramic dishes to use for their Adirondack decor.

The class is a great mother-daughter project for Mother’s Day.  Dishes do not need to be decorated with an Adirondack theme.  No clay experience is needed.

On the following Saturday, May 18, there will be a glazing session to glaze the work.  Those who cannot attend that session, the instructor will glaze their work and they will be able to pick up their work after the glaze firing.
