OLD FORGE — Stop by View, the center for arts and culture, during Christmas on Main Street on Nov. 26 and 27 to take part in many holiday festivities being offered: Ornament Painting, Cookies Sales, Hot Chocolate Bar and Two Consignment Sales featuring many local artists.

Paint your own, unique ceramic ornaments from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Choose from dozens of styles, from traditional winter snowflakes, stockings and snowmen to Adirondack-themed moose and bear. Ornaments are $5 each or paint three for only $10. Styles are limited, so be sure to come early for the best selection.

People can also purchase a full To-Go Holiday Ornament Painting Kit. Order online or stop into View to pick up everything you need to paint at home with your family this year, just in time to get them on the tree this Holiday Season! To-Go Kits are available while supplies. Each Holiday Ornament Kit includes a variety of six ornaments, five colors of paint, ribbon, and two paintbrushes. Holiday Take-Home Kits are $22 each.

Also, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., View will offer a Hot Chocolate bar with special toppings and a holiday Cookie Sale. Cookies are being baked and donated by View members and volunteers and will be available to purchase. Through Dec. 23, View will have two Consignment Sales in their lobby. Hand-crafted items from their Independent Potters and original works by the Mountain Air Painters will be available for purchase and the sales are a great way to support both small businesses and artists during the holiday season.

Other hand-crafted items will also be on sale through View’s Exhibitions, including artisanal ornaments, table runners, 4x12” works, and quilts as part of the Quilts Unlimited Exhibit currently on display. View is located at 3273 State Route 28. To learn more about View’s programming, visit ViewArts.org or call us at 315-369-6411.
