OLD FORGE — Due to continuing developments regarding COVID-19, View, the center for Arts and Culture at 3273 Route 28, will extend its closing to May 20.
The decision is an effort to stay consistent with Governor Andrew Cuomo’s earlier mandate that all non-essential businesses be closed, and in consideration of the messaging and guidelines put forth by medical professionals.
The art center will communicate at the appropriate time if it appears that it will need to further extend its closure past this date, representatives said.
The incremental approach that the art center is taking enables it to monitor the COVID-19 situation and make necessary changes and adjustments to planning, while simultaneously remaining cautiously optimistic and hopeful that the center will be able to open its doors as the weather gets warmer.
While the physical facility is closed, View employees have been actively working on a remote basis to create and develop online programs and opportunities for members to take advantage of, especially during a time when many are in stay-at-home mode.
The art center will continue to monitor its email and voicemail, so area residents are encouraged to contact the at 315-369-6411, ext. 201 or email@example.com with any questions, and staff will respond as soon as they are able.
