OLD FORGE — View is currently recruiting for its Summer Internship Program for qualified college students or recent graduates to fill roles in Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Fine Arts and Crafts, Ceramics/Pottery, Community and Special Events, Marketing and Media, and Arts Administration.
The application deadline is March 31, 2021. E-mail cover letters and résumés to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Internship” and the position(s) you are applying for in the subject line. Cover letters and résumés should be PDF or Word documents.
View Interns are assigned to their program of choice based on availability, and may assist in more than one program depending on experience and View resource requirements. Interns are also given varied assignments such as exhibition installation and de-installation, assisting during events and fundraisers, and preparing and distributing promotional materials, and administrative duties.
Interns are expected to work 40 hours a week. Some nights and weekends are required.
Interns are given a bi-weekly monetary stipend. College credits may also be arranged. Interns are provided shared housing and may attend workshops, events, and performances free of charge on a space-available basis. Qualified interns may also have the opportunity to instruct workshops.
“Summer interns work in View’s state-of-the-art Eco-Building and experience summer at a beautiful venue, enjoying scenic outdoor sights featuring trails, lakes, mountains, and wildlife,” officials noted.
The session runs from June through August.
