The video series, “The Journey-Shepherding God’s People” is announcing the new monthly release of a time of worship for senior and community centers with an Easter season message.

This video series is designed to bring people who are living in senior housing, assisted living, skilled nursing and those who are finding it difficult to attend church services, a sense that their faith community has not forgotten them.

The program offers the video time of worship, a blog and three bible studies that can be used as a Spiritual Wellness program for those in their third chapter of life wherever they live.

“As Christians, we have just experienced the passion of Christ. There seemed to be no end to His suffering. And then, like that first spring bloom, He rises from the dead. He lives. Our attitude turns to hope. We celebrate because challenging and dark days have given way to a new beginning,” said the Rev. Carol Jubenville, program coordinator. “The questions we will answer in the Bible study and video series include: ‘What does Easter mean for you?’ and ‘How do you embrace this season of hope? If not, why?’”

As the organization brings “church’ into homes, the Rev. Jubenville, pastor at Oriskany Falls and Bouckville United Methodist churches, and the Rev. John Buehler, retired from St. John’s Catholic Church in Utica, will review scripture and discuss thoughtful ways in which viewers will be able to connect to their faith journey. The videos and other content are available online at www.TheJourneyVideo.com.

Included on the website are blogs and bible studies that coincide with each video allowing for deeper understanding of the message and scriptures. The program is funded by St. Joseph’s Pastoral Care, Inc., and all content and videos are offered at no charge and are copywritten.
