VERNON — A Vernon man has been taken into custody for the second time in two months, accused of breaking another person's nose during a domestic dispute early Sunday morning, according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies said Gavin I. Becraft, 20, was involved in a physical domestic dispute at a residence in Vernon at about 3 a.m. Sunday. Deputies said the victim suffered a broken nose, and Becraft was in violation of an order of protection.
Becraft is charged with third-degree assault and aggravated criminal contempt, a class D felony, authorities said. He is scheduled to appear in Vernon Town Court.
According to the New York State Police, Becraft was previously charged with menacing in Vernon on April 14.
