Vernon GOP committee endorses candidates


VERNON — The Town of Vernon Republican committee is endorsing the following individuals for local and county candidates for the 2021 elections:

Town supervisor for 2-year term - Incumbent Randy Watson;

Town councilman for 4-year term (2 positions) - Incumbents Steve Adamkowski and John Peters;

Town highway for 2-year term, Timothy Murphy;

Town assessor, 4-year term - incumbent Duane Munger.

Also, Oneida County Board of Legislators representative from District 1 for a
2-year term - incumbent Keith Schiebel.

Candidates and committee members will be seeking endorsement signatures from registered Republicans who are residents of the town of Vernon, which includes the city of Sherrill and villages of Vernon and Oneida Castle, a release continues. 

In addition to the candidates, other Republican committee members seeking signatures are: Gene Bennati, Joe Brown, Sharon Kirley, Sheila Sreca and Cindy Thurston.

This year’s signing of designating petitions is from March 2 to March 21.
