Vernon Center ready to celebrate heritage with 42nd Old Home Day on Aug. 3

VERNON CENTER — It will be a day of celebration on Saturday, Aug. 3, as Vernon Center will celebrate its 42nd Old Home Day from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will be held in the park, one mile south of Route 5 on Route 26.

The event will begin with a parade led by the Madison Central School Band and continues with a day of music provided in part by Fritz’s Polka Band and Matt Chase. Food is available all day with barbecue chicken dinners available in the afternoon.

There will be children’s games, including a kids’ tractor pull at noon as well as crafts, collectibles, flea markets, pony rides and antique cars and tractors.
