UTICA — The Utica Yeti Lacrosse Club, part of the Interstate Box Lacrosse Association, announced that they will call the Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium its home for its inaugural season in 2021.
The team will play three home games at the Adirondack Bank Center this season on June 6 against the Salt City Eels at 2 p.m., June 13 at 2 p.m. against the Saugerties Night Pandas and on July 10 at 6 p.m. against the Albany Hyenas.
Tickets went on sale on Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. Children under 8 will receive a free ticket, adult tickets cost $12 and group tickets, 10 or more, are on sale for $10.
Fans have three options to demonstrate they are eligible to attend an event. Note the time frames associated with each option. They will need to have a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within six hours before the event starts, proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the day of the event, or proof of the COVID-19 vaccination.
The Yeti play in the Empire North region of the IBLA, which includes Albany, Salt City and Saugerties.
Utica features local players with Major League Lacrosse and college experience and players who have won box lacrosse championships.
The IBLA was formed to unify the system of regional box lacrosse leagues around the country. With 17 regions in operation, the IBLA provides a national system and an organizing committee to host a national championship every year.
