UTICA — A Utica woman registered a blood alcohol content more than three times the legal limit at the Thruway exit in Utica Saturday morning, according to the New York State Police.

Troopers said Brenda M. Evans, 56, was stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation at the toll entrance in Utica at about 11 a.m. Saturday. Troopers said Evans was found to be driving drunk, and she registered a BAC of 0.25% — more than three times the legal threshold of 0.08%.

Evans is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, troopers said. She was turned over to a sober third party and issued an appearance ticket for Utica City Court for next month.
