UTICA — The Rescue Mission of Utica is hosting its 12th annual Walk a Mile in My Shoes event Saturday, Feb. 4, to raise awareness of homelessness and hunger while supporting a most worthy cause. 

Registration begins at 10 a.m. at City Hall, 1 Kennedy Plaza. The one-mile walk starts at 11 a.m. outside City Hall.

The registration fee for individual walkers is $25. Registration for teams from businesses, churches, schools or other groups is $15 per person for groups of 10 or more. Registration includes “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” event goodie bag along with food and beverage.

Top fundraiser awards will be given to the two top teams. Walkers are encouraged to involve family and friends by asking them to sign up to walk also or make a contribution to the walkers’ efforts through a pledge.

T-shirts will be available to purchase at the event on a first come, first served basis.

Register as an individual walker online at www.uticamission.org or download, print, complete, and mail or bring in the registration/pledge form to Rescue Mission of Utica, Attention: Walk a Mile, 293 Genesee St., Utica, NY 13501.
