Utica Republican Committee announces 2023 ward endorsements

UTICA — The City of Utica Republican Committee announces the endorsements of ward candidates for the upcoming election in November.
Joe Betrus is an incumbent running for reelection in the sixth ward, followed by new candidates:
- Javon Pratt – Ward 2;
- Michael Brigano – Ward 3; and
- Michael Zalocha – Ward 5.
Chairman Michael Gentile says “these four individuals add to an already strong citywide slate of candidates. Each person brings a unique background, but most importantly, a strong commitment to public service and the people of the city of Utica.”
Citywide endorsements were:
- Michael Galime — mayor;
- Rocco Giruzzi — council president;
- Mark Williamson — councilor-at-large;
- Samantha Colosimo-Testa — councilor-at-large; and
- Grant Garramone — city court judge.
