The Utica National Insurance Group has been named a top insurance workplace by Insurance Business America magazine for the second straight year, the company announced.
Fifty-three companies made the list from the hundreds of organizations that participated nationwide.
Utica National, which employs 1,300 people countrywide, was among five companies to place in the “large employer” category.
More than 175 employees completed an anonymous survey and provided their overall impressions of the company, rating it on metrics such as work environment, compensation, benefits and incentives, culture and employee development.
“Our company’s mission is to make people feel secure, appreciated and respected – and that begins with our team members,” said Rich Creedon, Utica National’s chairman of the board and chief executive officer. “Whether they’ve been with us a short time or 40 years, we want everyone to enjoy coming to work and contribute to helping others – including our agents, policyholders and vendors – feel the same way.”
