UTICA — A 50-year-old man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for downloading child pornography at his home in Utica, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

John Seiselmyer, of Utica, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Glenn T. Suddaby on Tuesday to 15 years in prison on one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography, prosecutors said.

According to state records, Seiselmyer is a registered Level 2 sex offender.
