A Utica man was hospitalized after being shot in the leg on the city’s west side Wednesday night, according to law enforcement officials. No arrests have been made so far.
Police said 21-year-old Daryun Prescod was sitting in his vehicle in the 700 block of Roberts St. at about 8:30 p.m. when he heard gunfire. Police said Prescod then noticed that he’d been struck in the leg by a bullet.
Prescod was taken to a local hospital for emergency treatment. Police said his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The investigation into the gunfire is ongoing, police stated.
