Utica man charged with forcibly touching young girl


TOWN OF KIRKLAND — A Utica man was taken into custody and charged with having sexual contact with an underage girl.

Sheriff’s Inv. Mark R. Chrysler, with the county Child Advocacy Center, said Jesse J. Marshall, 27, was involved in an incident at a Kirkland restaurant where he grabbed the buttocks of a 14-year-old girl as well as offer to provide alcohol to other youths outside the establishment on Dec. 23.

An altercation erupted and Town of Kirkland Police responded to the scene. The case was then turned over to Inv. Chrysler.

On Feb. 1 Chrysler, along with other members of the sheriff’s office and Utica Police, located Marshall in Utica.

Marshall was taken into custody and charged with third-degree sexual abuse, first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. He was held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility’s Centralized Arraignment pending his arraignment on the charges.

The victim has been offered services through the Child Advocacy Center and orders of protections have been requested.
