Utica man accused of possessing child pornography on phone

UTICA — A Utica man has been charged with possessing child pornography after he uploaded pictures to the social media application SnapChat, according to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.

Investigators said Armin Nukica, 36, uploaded child pornography onto SnapChat, which prompted the company to notify the Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The images were traced back to Nukica, authorities said.

Sexual images of two unidentified female children were then found on Nukica's cell phone, authorities stated.

On Friday, Nukica was charged with two counts of possessing a sexual performance of a child, a class E felony, authorities said. He was released on an appearance ticket for Utica City Court in April.
