A fire at J’s Auto in Utica was knocked down by firefighters early Monday morning.
Fire officials said there was a large fire in the office at J’s Auto on Erie Street at about 7 a.m. Monday. Responding firefighters reported heavy smoke at the business, and they knocked down the flames in the office. They said the fire had extended into the ceiling of the one-story garage.
Authorities said the garage was unoccupied at the time of the fire. No one was injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
