Utica City School District annual Fine Arts Festival set for May 21

UTICA — The Utica City School District will host its annual Fine Arts Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, in the Main Gym at Proctor High School, 1203 Hilton Ave.

Guests will enter through the Arcuri entrance of the school where they will be greeted by a carnival style display of treats, arts and crafts, raffles and fair-themed activities in the first floor cafeteria. Student artwork will be on display in the halls leading up to the gym, where the rest of the exhibit will take place.

The event is a K-12 art exhibition and all 13 schools in the Utica City School District will be represented. Musical performances by the Proctor High School ensemble, band and choir will take place throughout the day.

The festival’s goals, organizers said are:

To create an arts based celebration in the Utica school community;

To showcase the artistic and musical talent of Utica City School District students and their teachers; and

To provide the community with a family friendly way to experience the arts, music and the diversity of the fine arts
programming offered by the Utica City School District and its educators.
