UTICA — A late goal factored into Utica City FC's setback for the second time in as many Major Arena Soccer League games Sunday afternoon.

With 48 seconds remaining in regulation, the Ontario Fury’s Robert Palmer collected a rebound and ripped a shot past goalkeeper Brian Goldman to stun Utica, a 4-3 setback at the Adirondack Bank Center at Utica Memorial Auditorium. It is the fifth consecutive loss for Utica, which drops to 2-7 overall this season.

Timmy Goldman scored his first goal of the year unassisted for Utica, while Cristhian Segura and Nate Bourdeau scored the other goals.

Utica also lost on Friday night at Milwaukee on a goal scored with under a minute left. Utica is in third place in the East Division. Sunday’s setback was a tough loss for Utica, which had rallied back from a 3-0 hafltime deficit against Ontario.

Utica returns to action on Sunday, Jan. 30, at 8 p.m. on the road in San Diego.
