UTICA — Utica Children’s Theatre has announced a Toy Story-themed fundraiser in support of its 2023 programming. This event will give local children the opportunity to experience the world of Andy’s room while raising funds to help the local organization.

“This is an amazing chance for our community to come together and support the arts,” said UCT Board President Wayne Yaddow. “Our students learn the fundamentals of theatre through production, but they learn so much more than that! Throughout their journey with us, they will learn to be well-rounded, critically thinking, compassionate, and, most importantly, self-confident young citizens. We are thrilled to be bringing this beloved movie classic to life for our fundraiser.”

The fundraiser will take place on Sunday, June 25, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Rome Art & Community Center and will feature activities based on the popular Disney Pixar movie. Guests can expect an afternoon of fun as they explore Andy’s room, meet some of their favorite characters from the film, enjoy snacks from Pizza Planet, and more.

In addition to activities based on Toy Story, guests can also look forward to games like there’s a snake in my boots snake toss, alien claw grab, Andy’s obstacle course, pin the nose on potato head, and emperor zurg shootout.

Utica Children’s Theatre offers classes and performances for kids 5 and older. Students learn the fundamentals of theatre through production along with becoming well rounded, critically thinking, compassionate, and, most importantly, self-confident young citizens.
