‘Unspoken Elements’ exhibit opens Friday

ROME — There will be an opening reception, Friday, April 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cinema Capitol Gallery, 230 W. Dominick St., for Marie Veschusio’s Solo Exhibit “Unspoken Elements.”

Veschusio’s artwork will be on display through the end of June and can be viewed during normal Cinema Capitol hours.

Marie Veschusio is a visual artist based out of Rome who primarily works in sculpture, two-dimensional works, and installation art. She works fluently in a variety of media including glass, paint, charcoal and ink. Much of her work reflects the prevalent theme of the perception of ourselves, our bodies and the world around us; a dichotomy of the delicacy and durability of human kind, both physical and emotional.

Veschusio has received several notable achievements in her field including the 2017 Hubbard Award for Studio Art, honorable mention in the Rome Regional Fine Arts Exhibition, and second place in the sculpture division of the 2018 Rome Art Association’s Member Exhibition.
